Since we found out that Baby Mann is a boy, I have been a tiny bit sad that I will have to keep waiting for the little dresses, hair barrettes, and the pink-pink-pink until another time. This despite the fact that I always preferred a boy for my first-born. I didn't realize how much time I had actually spent thinking about those girly things---even pierced ears. But now that we do know, I'm feeling much more focused (if still unexcited about any name in particular), and I'm excited to prepare for the world of toy guns, sports, and dump trucks ahead. I always did have more fun playing cops and robbers than house. I guess I would conclude that little girls are sweet, but boys are more fun.

I'm still waiting for the infamous food cravings and hunger to hit. I really don't think I've experienced it, although I did eat a whole jar of pepperocinis this week in one sitting. Then again, I don't think that's something totally out of the ordinary for me.

A whole jar of pepperoncinis? Doesn't that give you heart burn? :-)
Your comments about girls vs. boys are interesting. There's no doubt about it, it IS a lot more fun to dress a girl than a boy. But boys are not necessarily "more fun". From your own testimony, you didn't play with girlie things.
Boys are somewhat mystifying because they don't communicate as easily as girls. On the other hand, they are easier to please.
I can't *Wait* to find out his name!
Will you have him call me "Grandma"?
i remember thinking, "i am going to regret this" as i was eating them, but no, nothing ever came of it, except that i drank three glasses of water in succession (a good thing, I think). i do get random heart burn (sharp) for a few minutes at a time if i stay up too late.
well, it might be more fun for me to dress a girl in the future. for now, funds are limited for that kind of thing. so, bring on the boys! i'm not sure i was a conventional girl. i think i was a bit of a tom-boy. i think one of my favorite childhood memories was brining the hose out to the sandbox and setting up the army guys there with jordan. we had lakes and rivers going. boy were you and dad mad when you found out how much water we used. come to think of it, i'm not sure why you were upset. we had well water.
would you like him to call you grandma or something else? Donna will be Nanna (historic tradition there).
